Here comes Ganesh!!!! JAI

Karuna and I were waiting for the idols on the far side of this field. You could see the idols approaching the tank in a parade that snaked down the street by the houses in the background. As the idols got close the crowd went wild. They lit off firecrackers and roman candles. There were groups of drummers and the young men who were waiting to carry the idols to the tank danced wildly. It was sort of like a cross between the Macy's thanksgiving parade and a mosh pit. I loved it.
