The crane pics ganesh up, the young men are drumming and dancing, drunk with Ecstasy. They scramble up the hill shouting and tossing the huge statue on their shoulders into the air. This Ganesh almost fell on top me. Karuna pulled me back. We both laughed a deep laugh and hugged. The police swung their night clubs at people in the way. No body seemed to mind. The young men fought their way to the pond. They threw him in with shouts of "JAI GANESHA". The boys jumped in after Ganesh and pushed him under the water. The water brackish and green, a sea of devotion and Ecstasy . Glorious Chaos. (clik on the pic to enlarge)
