Leh palace at sunset
The building on the left top is leh palace. It was home to the nlast King of LAdahk about 800 years ago. It is in ruins but one buddhidt temple still exist inside. Above is an active monastary. notice that there is mosgue on the bottom right. Evrery body just seems to get along here in very close quaters. We were having lunch under the green and orange awing you see underneath the palace. We heard some comotion at the Tibetan temple across the street from us. Whem we got up to look, some monks with huge yellow feathered hats were blowing huge brass horns. A few seconds later the Dali Lamma jumped out and went into the temple. A german woman said that could not possibly be the Dali because ther was no security. Me being me. wnet into the temple ans snuck in the side door, Ten feet from me was the Dali Lamma sitting in a high, ornate street adressing his followers in Tibetan. No security what so ever. My friend Tim mamaged to snap a pic which i will try to post later.
