Welcome to India 20011

Hey,
This water lilly is growing in a pool at my friend Nan's house and I thought It would be a nice way to start this years blog. Today is my third day here and the trip has already been action packed. My friend Rishi has, after five years of living here,decided to return to the U.S. We spent some time catching up and then I had to say goodbye...possibly forever. Life is really bittersweet. I am thrilled he is going home so he can be closer to his son and grandchildren but he has been a big part of my experience here. What to do? Karuna had my house fixed up to perfection. I am driving around on my scooter like a mad Indian and I going to a Dentist to have my teeth cleaned today. It costs about 20 bucks to have your teeth cleaned and you get an appointment the same day. I will see if he can replace a missing crown. that will cost around thirty bucks. Well, it seems as if the Indian woman who owns a local restaurant attempted to runway from her old swiss husband with a young Nepali boy who works for her. The husband caught her trying to run away with all their money. He got the money and a bunch of tamil men beat the living poop out of the young boy. They are no longer a couple. I saw the woman being blessed by a holy man this morning while the old swiss guy smiled and watched. You just cant make this stuff up. I LOVE INDIA
