Nadi wearing his holday clothes

this is Nandi the bull all dressed up for the full moon. The god Shiva rides Nadi around the universe doing all the creating and destroying he is so fond of doing. This statue faces the tomb of Rama's mother. Nadi gets new flowers every day but these are special for the full moon. every full moon tens of thousands of people come here to walk around the mountain and worship at the many temples along the path. The place is an absolute zoo. I decided to drive into town that evening to grab a quick bit. I went on the back roads and got caught in mile long line of auto rickshaws. It was like being in a demolition derby. We cut each other off constantly and fought for the right of away. It was kind of like a big game of chicken. Aim your vehicle at the oncoming and see who gives way first. Funny thing is while it seems chaotic. nobody really takes the right of way. The traffic becomes sort of a mad ballet where you simply share the space and move around each other. It is sort of beautiful. No one really takes the right of way you just blend into each other
