morning arati

This is the main alter in the ashram, the priests are offer light to the god shiva, this is called arati. it goes on for almost 20 minutes with very loud bells ringing. after they are finished the priests off a plate with burning camphor some we can bless ourself's with this light. the camphor burns for a good long time but every one pushes and shoves so as to be the first. it is sort of like a spiritual mosh pit.
