this lovely little arrangement was out side my apartment building this morning. it consists of a squash blossom in a cow patty. i don't think FTD had any thing to do with this one! the design it self is called a collum and is redrawn differently every morning along with a fresh flower and a a fresh cow pie. it is meant to invite ganesh, the god of luck and remover of obstacles into the building. in a certain way i think this sort of sums up india, even that which you believe to be discusting (cow pie)can be a thnig of beauty. beauty is conditioned, if you look the right way, then all things have the possibility to be beautiful.

Well, this looks nothing like the cupcake flower arrangement that one sees posted all over the MTA buses these days. I think that they made a mistake in their deliver, don't you? xoxox Tim and Mike
